This talk will introduce modern tools to build WordPress projects (plugins, themes, and sites).

We’ll look at tools from the WordPress ecosystem, such as @wordpress/env, @wordpress/scripts, @wp-now/wp-now, WP-CLI, and Blueprint. We’ll also explore popular tools from the wider developer community, including WordPress coding standards for PHPCS (WPCS, PHPCompatibilityWP, etc.), PHPStan, WPackagist, and Composer.

The goal of this talk is to highlight how WordPress development tools have been improving in recent years, as well as showing (in a brief) wha are they used for, how developers can include and use them in their WordPress projects.
