Contributor Day เป็นวันที่เรามารวมตัวกันทำงาน ทำสิ่งที่เป็นประโยชน์ให้กับ WordPress ทุกๆคนสามารถมีส่วนร่วมได้ ไม่ว่าคุณจะเป็นนักพัฒนา นักออกแบบ หรือใดๆก็ตาม ไม่มีข้อจำกัดเรื่องของความถนัด ระดับความสามารถ หรือระดับความรู้เกี่ยวกับ WordPress โดยงานนี้จะมีขึ้น วันเสาร์ที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ ที่ มหาวิทยาลัยสยาม

Contributor Day คืออะไร? แล้วทำไมคุณไม่ควรพลาด?

Contributor Day are for everyone, regardless your experience level with WordPress.

As part of WordCamp Bangkok 2018, we will have a Contributor Day on Saturday 17th of February, the day before the Conference Day at Siam University. It really doesn’t matter what your skill level with WordPress is, and you don’t need to be a developer or coder to be involved. There will be plenty of people on hand to help you get started, and there are a number of areas where you can make a difference.

Whether you’re a budding developer, a pixel-perfect designer, or just like helping out, we’re always looking for people to help make WordPress even better.

The core team makes WordPress. Whether you’re a seasoned PHP developer or are just learning to code, we’d love to have you on board. You can write code, fix bugs, debate decisions, and help with development.

2. CLI

WP-CLI คือชุดคำสั่งที่ใช้ติดต่อกับ WordPress เราสามารถติดตั้งปลั๊กอิน, ธีม และการจัดการอื่นๆได้โดยไม่ต้องใช้งานผ่านเว็บเบราว์เซอร์ Team lead จะมาแนะนำว่าคุณสามารถมีส่วนร่วมในการสนับสนุน WP-CLI ได้อย่างไรบ้าง

สิ่งที่ต้องเตรียม:

WP-CLI is the command-line interface for WordPress. We can manage plugins, themes and much more without a web browser. Our team will try to contribute to WP-CLI project.

We are planning some of the work on the first contributor day in Bangkok.

• A small introductory round that is about the world of the WP-CLI project.
• Small hands-on to contribute to the WP-CLI project.
• Let’s work to translate documentation, improve WP-CLI and much more!

3. Community

หากคุณต้องการริเริ่มจัดงาน Meetup หรือ WordCamp เราขอแนะนำให้คุณเข้ามาร่วมกับ  Community Team ซึ่งจะให้คำแนะนำการเริ่มต้น ความช่วยเหลือ และความสนับสนุนในด้านต่างๆ เพื่อช่วยสร้างชุมชน WordPress ให้แข็งแรง

The Community team contributes to anyways about growing WordPress community such as official events, mentorship programs, diversity initiatives, contributor outreach.

If you’re interested in organizing a meetup or a WordCamp, this table is the place you should visit! We also would like to meet people who already organizing meetups or/and WordCamps. This is very open table – Don’t hesitate to say hi!

4. Polyglots

Polyglots Team เป็นผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังการแปล WordPress Ecosystem (Core, Theme, Plugin) ให้เป็นภาษาต่างๆ มากกว่าร้อยภาษา ซึ่งจะเป็นไปไม่ได้เลย หากไม่มีอาสาสมัครที่เป็นเจ้าของภาษาของแต่ละภาษาจากทั่วโลกเข้ามาร่วมกันแปล เพื่อทำให้งานนี้สำเร็จ

The polyglots team is responsible translating WordPress into hundreds of languages. It’s a big job, which is why we need help from native speakers to make it possible.

The polyglots team consists of volunteers from around the globe who take care of translations for a specific language (see a list of translation teams). Find out how you can become a part of your local team, translating WordPress into your own language. If you are a developer, you can also assist with creating the tools that make translations easier.

5. Theme

Team leads: Ulrich Pogson (@grapplerulrich)

ทุกๆธีมที่อัปโหลดขึ้นไปยังธีมไดเรกทอรีของ WordPress.org นั้น จะต้องผ่านการตรวจสอบจาก Theme Review Team (TRT) ก่อนที่จะได้รับการอนุมัติให้เผยแพร่ โดยขั้นตอนการตรวจสอบธีม จะครอบคลุมในหลายๆส่วน เช่น ความปลอดภัย, ความถูกต้อง และลิขสิทธิ์ต่างๆ

All themes that are uploaded to the WordPress.org theme directory are reviewed before they go live. The theme review team (TRT) is responsible for the review process. In the review process, the newly uploaded themes are check for security vulnerabilities, WordPress and coding best practices and licencing.

At the contributors day, Ulrich will be explaining the review process and quickly be covering the requirements. After the introduction, we will make a small group who will do a theme review together.

Note: Please bring your laptop with you to the reviews. It is helpful to have a local WordPress installation that you can use to review the theme.

6. WordPress User Manual for Thai (Special project)

Team leads: Chakkrisn Menn Talawat (@mennstudio), Pathompong Sangkajit (@inhumba)

การรวมตัวกันเฉพาะกิจ เพื่อสร้างคู่มือการใช้งาน WordPress ให้กับคนไทยในรูปแบบของเว็บไซต์ ภายในหนึ่งวัน มุ่งหวังที่จะเป็นคู่มือการใช้ WordPress สำหรับผู้ใช้งานทั่วไป (User manual) ทุกๆคนสามารถเข้ามาอ่าน ดาวน์โหลด หรือร่วมกันอัปเดตเนื้อหาให้เป็นปัจจุบันได้

งานนี้ไม่มีข้อจำกัดด้านความสามารถ และระดับความรู้ใดๆ ไม่ว่าคุณจะเป็นนักพัฒนา นักออกแบบ บล๊อกเกอร์ หรือผู้ใช้งานเริ่มต้น คุณก็สามารถช่วยเราได้

A special project for WordPress Thai community. We’ll do a WordPress documentation website for Thai users in one day. Everyone can read, download and update the content together. No matter what you are: developer, designer, blogger or anything, there are plenties of seats for you to help us.
